Last Updated: May 2026

1. Independent Contractor Status

By using Certivide, you acknowledge that you are an independent contractor and NOT an employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer of Certivide. You maintain complete control over how and when you perform your work.

2. Licensing & Permits

You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licenses, permits, insurance, and certifications required by your jurisdiction to perform trade services. Certivide does not supervise, direct, or control the performance of services. Trades requiring a license (including but not limited to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing, and General Contracting) must maintain current, valid licenses at all times.

3. Insurance Requirements

You must maintain active general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance (where required) at all times. Failure to maintain active insurance may result in suspension of your Certivide account.

4. Platform Use

Certivide provides software tools for managing field operations. The platform does not employ you, set your rates, guarantee payment from customers, or provide work. You are free to use other platforms and accept work from any source.

5. Compliance & Quality

You are responsible for performing all work in compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), environmental regulations (EPA), and industry standards.

6. Taxes

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for all applicable taxes including self-employment tax, income tax, and any other applicable taxes.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, you remain responsible for completing any accepted work orders and resolving any outstanding payments.
